Dee Snider of Twisted Sister

Dee Snider is an iconic American singer, songwriter, and radio host, most renowned for being the frontman of the legendary heavy metal band Twisted Sister. Born on March 15, 1955, in Astoria, New York, Snider's powerful voice and energetic stage presence helped define the band's rebellious sound and image in the 1980s. With hits like "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock," Twisted Sister became symbols of defiance and youthful freedom during a time when glam metal and hair bands were dominating the music scene. Known for their outrageous costumes, Snider's bold persona onstage often included elaborate makeup and wild hairstyles, which made him a standout figure in the rock world.
Beyond his music career, Snider has built a diverse portfolio in entertainment. After Twisted Sister's initial success, he ventured into acting and hosting, most notably as the voice of the animated character "Big Daddy" in Strangeland, a film he also wrote and directed. He became a respected figure in rock radio, hosting Dee Snider's House of Hair on SiriusXM, where he plays classic rock and heavy metal music while engaging fans with his signature humor and commentary. Known for his fearless advocacy for freedom of expression, Snider also stood as a vocal defender of musicians' rights during the 1985 Senate hearings on explicit music lyrics, cementing his reputation as a staunch defender of artistic freedom. Warrant

Warrant is an American glam metal band that rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s, becoming one of the prominent acts in the hair metal scene. Formed in 1984 in Hollywood, California, the band's lineup featured members such as lead vocalist Jani Lane, guitarist Erik Turner, and drummer Steven Sweet. Warrant achieved mainstream success with their 1989 debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, which included hit singles like "Down Boys" and "Sometimes She Cries." Their 1990 follow-up, Cherry Pie, became a defining album of the era, thanks to its title track, which remains one of their most recognizable songs. The band's music blended catchy hooks, high-energy riffs, and the quintessential glam metal aesthetic, helping them gain a strong fan base during the height of the genre's popularity.

At its core, WARRANT is an American rock band through and through. Hitting it big in 1989, the Hollywood, CA based band rose through the ranks of the local Sunset Strip scene to the level of multiplatinum selling, chart-topping success. The band first came into the national spotlight with their debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. This album produced Radio and MTV chart toppers "Down Boys," "Sometimes She Cries," and the massive hit "Heaven" which reached #1 in Rolling Stone and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row. The single "Heaven" enjoyed Gold sales and the Album went Platinum in Canada as well, eventually selling over 3 million copies. The band toured the globe performing 262 shows in support of DRFSR and closed the year with a Platinum Home Video.

WARRANT's sophomore album Cherry Pie was released in September 1990. This album, which spawned the MTV & Radio hits "Cherry Pie," "Uncle Tom's Cabin," and "I Saw Red," all reached the Top 10 in the United States and went on to sell 3 million copies, reaching Platinum sales in Canada and Australia. The band played 200 shows in support of Cherry Pie and finished the tour headlining sheds all over the USA and ended up being one of the top grossing tours of 1991. Over the course of their career, WARRANT has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. The song "Cherry Pie" has taken on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies, TV shows, commercials and the hugely popular video game Guitar Hero II.

WARRANT's signature style of rock music is very catchy and yet very melodic and remains the band's signature sound today. In September 2008, Robert Mason replaced Jani Lane (RIP) as lead vocalist joining the other four original members, Jerry Dixon, Steven Sweet, Joey Allen and Erik Turner. Their current album Louder Harder Faster, released on Frontiers Records, has been highly regarded in reviews and embraced by fans. WARRANT has been headlining festivals, casinos and fairs all over the country in support of their latest CD and is fired up and tighter than every musically! These rockers can't wait to play not only ALL the hits fans know & love but also new tunes/videos like "Louder Harder Faster" & "I Think I Will Just Stay Here & Drink."

Lita Ford

Lita Ford is a pioneering American rock guitarist and vocalist, widely known for her contributions to the heavy metal scene. Born on September 19, 1958, in London, England, Ford gained fame as a member of the all-female rock band The Runaways, which was active in the 1970s. With her fierce stage presence and skillful guitar playing, she became a standout figure in the band alongside Joan Jett and Cherie Currie. After The Runaways disbanded in 1979, Ford launched a successful solo career, which solidified her as one of the most influential women in rock music. Her 1988 album Lita, featuring the hit single "Kiss Me Deadly," catapulted her to stardom, and she became a leading figure in the glam metal movement of the 1980s.

Throughout her career, Lita Ford's music has been defined by her powerful vocals, fiery guitar solos, and ability to merge hard rock with pop sensibilities. As a solo artist, she released multiple albums, including Out for Blood (1983) and Stiletto (1998), earning a reputation for her bold, unapologetic approach to rock. Despite the challenges she faced in the male-dominated world of rock music, Ford broke barriers and became a role model for women in rock. She also enjoyed a brief resurgence in the 2000s with the release of new material and by performing live shows. With a career spanning several decades, Lita Ford remains a trailblazer in rock and continues to inspire generations of musicians with her fearlessness, talent, and lasting impact on the genre.

Besides her renown musical career Lita has also appeared in numerous movie, television and media rolls. In 1991 She portrayed the roll of the Hitchhiker in the fantasy/thriller "Highway To Hell" starring Chad Lowe. On television Ford has guested on shows such as Fox's Herman's Head, Food Networks Chopped and Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush. Ford was also featured along with Bruce Springsteen's legendary E Street band saxophonist Clarence Clemons as band members of The Howie Mandel Show's Studio One Band. In 2009 Lita was cast to voice the roll of Rima for the action adventure video game Brutal Legend. In 2016 Ford released her autobiography "Living Like A Runaway: A Memoir". The books insight and vivid truthfulness so captured audiences that it quickly became a national best seller and awarded 4.7 stars out of 5 by Amazon. The book reached such critical acclaim that Lita was presented the "Outstanding Writer" award in 2017 by the Producers Choice Honors. At 2017's Fifth Annual She Rocks Awards Lita was chosen as the recipient of the coveted Icon Award. That evening she was also officially bestowed the title of The First Lady of Rock Guitar by Marshall Amplification and Guitar Player Magazine. Laura B.
